Bus crash injures 58 in Tangalle

Over 58 passengers were admitted to the Tangalle Base Hospital after a passenger bus plying from Agunukolapellasa to Matara collided with a Matara bound private coach at Unakuruwa yesterday.

The traffic on the Matara-Kataragama road came to standstill after the collision.

The injured were rushed to the Tangalle Base Hospital with the assistance of residents.

Hospital authorities confirmed that the condition of several injured were serious and they were transferred to the Matara General Hospital.
