The e-Asia 2009 conference will be held under five thematic sectors such as e-Government, Digital Learning, e-Health, Telecentre Forum and Emerging Technologies.

e-Asia 2009 Technical Committee Chairman Professor Wijeya Kumar said that a large number of persons would participate at the conference and technical committee meetings. Several pioneers in information technology in the world are scheduled to participate in the Colombo conference.

In particular, personnel in the public sector who are interested in Information Technology could participate in e-Asia 2009 paying a subsidized fee. A similar policy will be followed with regard to university students, he said.
