Nenaguna Veduma Sisu Diriya in Vavuniya
The National Program on schoolchildren's ethical and intelligence
development Nenaguna Veduma Sisu Diriya will be held in the Vavuniya
District from tomorrow in eight schools, President's Media Division said
in a press release yesterday.
Under this program Guna Nena Veduma societies have been formed in 19
schools of the North from September this year and schools in the
Vavuniya District will conduct the program for three days from tomorrow.
This child development program was one of the policies in the Mahinda
Chintana manifesto of President Mahinda Rajapaksa and was started in
2006 but schoolchildren in the North and East could not be brought into
it due to terrorism, the release also said.
Al Iqubal Maha Vidyalaya, Al Amin Vidyalaya, Dharmapala Vidyalaya,
Alagalla Maha Vidyalaya, Kanthipuram Maha Vidyalaya, Gamini Maha
Vidyalaya, Vipulananda Vidyalaya and Muslim Maha Vidyalaya are the
schools in the district that have been brought into the program the
release also said. |
