Novel Influenza victim in Ratnapura

A girl who has contracted the A-H1N1 (Novel Influenza) virus has been detected in Ratnapura for the first time. Provincial Health services Director Dr. Kapila Kannangara said medical reports have confirmed that the girl had tested positive for A-H1N1.

He said his office has now started an awareness program in schools to prevent the spread of the decease.
