The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) will hold a
one-day training workshop on Industrial Hazards Identification and Risk
Assessment (HIRA) on October 16 from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. at the NCCSL
Auditorium, D.R. Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo 10.
The resource person will be Consultant Trainer/Auditor Justin Perera,
who is an expert in this field.
He has conducted several inspirational workshops over the past 25

evaluate and mitigate their consequences.
The aim of this course is to enable the identification and
understanding of the hazards associated with organizations and to take
appropriate action to reduce the risks involved.
At the workshop the participants will learn how to identify
industrial hazards, evaluate risks, mitigate risks with the minimum cost
and to protect people and plant from consequences.
It is targeted at senior management/operating personnel from the
processing industries, plastics and rubber, agrochemicals, dyes, paints
and coatings, chemicals, pharmaceutical, food and drink, tea, soaps and
