Trip down memory lane

It appears Sri Lanka has lot of Western educated human rights activists and experts who have continued to write about the last days of the war in Sri Lanka.

The famous Irish Rock Band U-2 is travelling in the US this year. One of U-2's best known songs about hate and violence is named "Sunday Bloody Sunday". It is dedicated to a crime against humanity committed by the British Government for which no one was ever found guilty.

Has anyone ever asked the British about the "Bloody Sunday" massacre in Londonderry (Doire in Irish) in 1972?

Not one person was prosecuted and sent to jail when the British Protestant Army killed more than 13 innocent unarmed Irish Catholic protestors. Thirteen people, (seven teenagers), died immediately, while the death of another person four and half months later has been attributed to the injuries he received on the day. Two protesters were injured when they were run down by Army vehicles. Many witnesses, including bystanders and journalists, testify that all those shot were unarmed. Five of those wounded were shot in the back There were the usual cover ups, and the usual Government stories about how the British paratroopers had to react to attacks by the IRA. There were two enquiries that were a sham. These absolved all the British soldiers. Funny, how no one saw the troops being attacked. No one saw anyone hurling even a petrol bomb at the soldiers but they were all exonerated. Not one eye witness could substantiate the lies uttered by the British Government and the paratroopers involved.

Just curious how people react when the West does the same sort of thing they accuse the East of doing. I can take a bet if these people go to Britain or come to the US and get on TV, or utter any disparaging story about the behaviour of these Governments in Iraq or Afghanistan they will get their tourist visas revoked as soon as possible. Let them come over and go to the UN, get on national TV and demand human rights investigations into the excesses in Iraq, or the excesses in Vietnam. They will be declared persona non grata before the words could even be typed. People must think everyone is a fool narcotized by TV not to know these facts.
