Eid Ul-Fitr in Mecca: A huge crowd perform the early morning Eid ul-Fitr prayer at the Masjed Al-Haram grand mosque in the Saudi holy city of Mecca Saturday. Most Muslims in Saudi Arabia and around the world started celebrations of the three-day Eid, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, after the sighting of the new crescent moon. Islam’s holiest shrine in Mecca will be the scene of the hajj pilgrimage in two months. AFP
