Offers free connections for travelers:

Ranjaka Ariyaratne, Senior Executive Group Loyalty Services - Dialog Telekom, Chinthana Jayasekara, Manager Group Loyalty Services - Dialog Telekom, Supun Weerasinghe, Chief Executive Officer - Dialog Mobile, Amith Sumanapala, General Manager - Sri Lankan Holidays and MICE Division, Chinthaka Weerasinghe, Sales and Marketing Manager (Out-Bound) Sri Lankan Holidays

SriLankan Holidays, the leisure arm of the national carrier SriLankan Airlines, has teamed up with the country’s flagship mobile services provider, Dialog Telekom, to offer a free local mobile connection to all passengers flying into Colombo on its inbound holiday packages.

On arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, the passenger will be provided a local number on his foreign SIM, or a Dialog pre-paid connection together with some start-up talk-time. Thereafter, the account can be topped up depending on the passenger’s requirement.

The local number solution and Dialog SIM cards provided through SriLankan Holidays will ensure a more enjoyable and hassle-free holiday for travellers.

This is also a boon to MICE groups and for passengers on tour-holidays who need to be in regular contact with their tour guides and ground operators.

The Dialog pre-paid connection is an economical and convenient option for tourists to keep in touch with friends and family back home whenever they are on the go.

Oriflame opens Galle branch

Oriflame Natural Swedish cosmetics reached yet another milestone in their ever expanding operations in Sri Lanka with the opening of their branch office in the southern city of Galle.

“Our objective is to service our agents in efficient and effective manner and thus the need to have a branch office in the South was a unanimous decision,” said National Sales Manager Oriflame Sri Lanka Virginia Corera.

Galle is the central point to most of the southern cities, having an office in the heart of the town with the facilities for the southern agents to walk in and place their orders will streamline the operation.

“By the opening of this office, we have created great income opportunities to the people in Galle. The weekend prior to the opening, in response to our - ‘Open the doors to a New Life’ - calling all who were interested in being a part of the growing Oriflame family was tremendous. We had more than 600 people attending our opportunity meeting at the Halle De Galle, where most of the people attending decided to join Oriflame,” Corera said.

Following the opening we also added some hundreds of new Consultants - further supporting our aggressive expansion in Sri Lanka and creating income opportunities, said Managing Director, Oriflame Sri Lanka Pierre Martensson.

Aquafresh Natural Water awarded ISO 22000

Aquafresh became the first table water brand in Sri Lanka to be awarded the ISO 22000 certification which is a truly global international standard.

A company spokesman for Access Natural Water (Pvt) Ltd said, today there are over 75 brands of mineral / table water that have SLS certification and some conform to the HACCP standard. However, Aquafresh will stand tall with higher production standards and cutting edge technology.

ISO 22000 draws the entire food production chain of a particular organization starting from producer to processor and distributor to exporter to maintain set procedures and guidelines to eradicate microbiological and other hazards. There is interactive communication between all the players. There is stringent control of food safety hazards through pre-requisite programs and HACCP plans.

There is also continual improvement and updating of the food safety management system. At Access Natural Water the previous quality management systems and process standards that were maintained such as ISO 9001 completely aligns with ISO 22000. The process control and management system includes steps designed to prevent problems before they occur and to correct deviations through a systematic way as soon as they are detected.
