Illicit distillery in quarry raided
Rs. 500,000 worth of goda seized:
Nugegoda Fraud Bureau officers raided a large
scale illicit distillery in an abandoned quarry at Halbarawa,
Mulleriyawa yesterday morning and arrested two suspects along with a
large stock of Goda with a street value of nearly Rs. 500,000.

Another arms cache
The CID has unearthed a large number of T56
automatic guns and a haul of arms hidden by the LTTE in the
Sudar-Oli base in Puthukudiyiruppu, Iranamadu and Kaivel village on
Sunday evening.
