Thorough investigation under way:

Pro-LTTE ‘Mercy Ship’ under Naval custody

THE Navy has kept the controversial ship MV Captain Ali anchored in Panadura until investigations are complete and clearance is given. The ship was carrying 884 metric tonnes of food and medical supplies collected by a pro LTTE organization to be distributed among displaced people in the Vanni.

The Yal Devi train which was suspended beyond Vavuniya for the past 20 years due to LTTE terrorism will run up to Thandikulam from today.
