NFF MP, five others remanded

National Freedom Front politburo member and Parliamentarian Piyasiri Wijenayake and five others surrendered to the Veyangoda Police Station yesterday.

The Court had issued notice on Wijenayake and five others to appear before Court in connection with the murder of a JVP member during the Western Provincial Council election campaign.

The suspects including Wijenayake were remanded till May 13.
