Chandana Perera for ITTF meeting

Chandana Perera, the General Secretary of the TTASL will represent Sri Lanka at the Annual General Meeting of the International Table Tennis Federation to be held in Yokohama, Japan on April 30, 2009.

Chandana will also take this opportunity to be present at the World Individual Table Tennis Championship which will be held from April 28 to May 5, 2009 in Yokohama, Japan where all leading Table Tennis players in the world will participate.

Chandana, an Old Boy of St. John’s College Nugegoda and Sports Instructor of the Playgrounds and Recreation Department of the Colombo Municipal Council has been a livewire in the field of Table Tennis for the last 26 years.

He has been instrumental in the development of Table Tennis in Sri Lanka to its present standard. He has the unique distinction of been the youngest President of the TTASL during the period 1995 to 1997.
