Food and essentials sent to Mullaitivu’s trapped civilians
Navy ensures safe passage:
The UN World Food Program dispatched 1,030 metric
tonnes of essential food items on Wednesday to trapped civilians in
Mullaitivu on the ICRC chartered vessel. The Navy is providing
assistance and safe passage to transport the food items.
Special train services for New Year
Sri Lanka Railways will deploy 47 special trains
during the Sinhala and Hindu New Year.Sri Lanka Railways General
Manager Dr. Lalithasiri Gunaruwan told a press conference in Colombo
yesterday that this special train service will commence from April 8
and continue until April 19.
