Venerable Wewaldeniye Medhalankara who was
called Benjamin Appuhamy before ordination, was born on December 7,
1909 as the youngest child of Singankutti Arachchige Isan Appuhamy
and Raja-pakse Vitaranalage Liyanguhamy of Milla-wala, Wewaldeniya.
