“We have made arrangements to solve the problems of the public by
visiting villages and intervening to cater to their needs. This campaign
is being started under the Gamin Gamata scheme concept of the Mahinda
Chinthana,” said Minister of Rural Industries Premalal Jayasekara at a
meeting held at Madalagama Colony in Pitakanda.
According to the “Gamin Gamata” scheme, we as the responsible
officials and as public servants would help find solutions to the
problems faced by villagers. The problems which can be solved
immediately will be given priority and the other problems will be
directed to the respective institutions.
Hence, we wanted to acknowledge the public in this regard and help
them in the best we can. This would help the officials concerned to know
about the problems faced by villagers and resources available in
villages which can be used developing the village economy.
Jayasekera said, we as public servants ought to do more work and give
solutions to various problems. It is with this aim that we launched
“Gamin Gamata” scheme. |
