Visiting Islamic leader Sheik Issam Kabbani called on Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka at the Parliamentary complex yesterday. A book containing details of his travels was also presented to the Premier on the occasion. Sheik Kabbani had toured many countries in the East and West and lectured at several universities and institutes to audiences of different faiths.These lectures mainly touched on the need for rejecting terrorism and fundamentalism while promoting love and peace as taught in Islam. He will remain in Sri Lanka till the 25th and is scheduled to deliver lectures to several multi-religious gatherings. Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. H. Mohomed was also present on the occasion.
