The Average Weighted Prime Lending Rate (AWPR) and the Lowest Prime Rate (LPR) 
during the week ended 07th November, 2008 by all commercial banks was 20.75 per 
cent and 15.50 per cent respectively.

The Average Weighted Deposit Rate (AWDR) of the commercial banks, for the month 
of October 2008 was 11.28 per cent.
