Jaffna u'grad key in terror targets
The Jaffna University student who died after swallowing cyanide while
in troops' captivity at Ariyale area last Saturday is a key figure in
planning and executing of terrorist activities outside the Jaffna
University compound targeting troops, Jaffna Police said.
The terrorist - turned student - Purisothaman alias Sellathurai had
been also instrumental in organising intermittent fire attacks against
the troops, taking cover inside the University since the Security Forces
did not intrude the University premises.
Purisothamam with his fellow-terrorist, Sivagnanlingam on Saturday
shot at troops on foot patrol.
Security Forces have alerted the Jaffna University Authorities on the
presence of terrorists, disguised or working full time for the LTTE,
operating from the University grounds.
