Semi-finalists found in under 23 tourney

 The Sri Lanka Schools under 20, Colts, CC NCC, and SSC, have booked
their places in the semifinals of the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) organised
under 23 Division One tournament.
The success of the Schools Under 20 team is even more significant
considering the fact that they were making their debut in a division one
tournament.
The schoolboys finished on top of their group and managed to edge out
the more fancied NCC team into the second place by a solitary point. The
Schools under 20 team will now take on SSC in the semifinals scheduled
for September 19, 20 and 21 at the NCC grounds in Maitland Place.
The other semifinal will be between NCC and Colts CC at the SSC
grounds in Maitland Place. Colts CC topped group ‘A’ with two outright
victories to their credit while pushing SSC into the second place. The
final will be worked off from September 26 to 28 at the SSC grounds in
Maitland Place. |
