Air Force jets pound Tiger ammunition factory

Air Force fighter jets pounded a major LTTE explosive dump and ammunition factory in Udayarkattikkulam, Puthukudiruppu yesterday evening, Air Force Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara said.

Air Force fighters carried out a fresh air attack targeting an LTTE main explosive dump and ammunition factory around 3.00 p.m. "The target was in a dense jungle three km south west of Puthukudiruppu," Wing Commander Nanayakkara said.
