LTTE artillery attack on Murunkan hospital

A tense situation prevailed in Murunkan in Mannar yesterday as LTTE directed 120 mm artillery fire at the Murunkan hospital causing heavy damage to a hospital building yesterday morning, Military Spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara told the Daily News.

Demo against Tigers in Sweden

A multi-ethnic demonstration against terrorism of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam was held with the participation of Sri Lankans living in Sweden opposite of the Stockholm cultural house (Sergels Torg) on Saturday, from 11.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. to urge the Swedish and the European Union authorities to ban the LTTE activities in Sweden.
