Pakistan, Russia oppose attempt to undermine China's sovereignty
Pakistan, Russia and some other countries made
statements Monday, opposing any attempt to undermine China's
sovereignty and to politicize the Olympic Games. The government of
Pakistan stressed its stance Monday that Tibet is an inalienable
part of China and is firmly opposed to any attempt to undermine

India seeks 'leniency' from Pakistan for man on death row
India called on Monday for Pakistan to show
"leniency" towards an Indian man due to be hanged over a deadly 1990
bombing as members of his family threatened to commit suicide.
Sarabjit Singh, who says he is the victim of mistaken identity, is
to be hanged on April 1 after being convicted of involvement in the
blasts that killed four people in Pakistani city of Lahore.
