President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday handed over the keys of a new house to the children of Rathu Mahaththaya of Bandirekka-Thoppigala, who died in a multi-barrel attack by the LTTE. Bunker babies: Latest Tiger ruse

The LTTE has resorted to new tactics to tarnish the Security Forces' image by allowing their female cadres to take their children to bunker lines on the Forward defences, Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said yesterday.

Dockyard invests Rs. 475m in technology

The Colombo Dockyard PLC is to invest Rs. 475 million for technology improvements and infrastructure development this year. Managing Director of CDPLC Mangala P.B. Yapa said the company expects to invest Rs. 475 million for the technology improvement and infrastructure development.
