Twenty six civilians were killed in a claymore
blast in Okkampitiya yesterday morning. Another 63 persons including
10 children were injured as the CTB bus they were travelling in was
caught by the LTTE claymore explosion.
Be resolute and calm in face of provocation - President

at Buttala and a village in Okkampitiya, has called on Sri Lankans
to be vigilant in the face of provocation by terrorists, remain

UN HR Chief
The Government yesterday informed the UN High
Commissioner for Human Rights, that the decision to end the
Ceasefire Agreement (CFA) with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam
(LTTE) was taken after careful and serious consideration, the
Disaster Management and Human Rights Ministry said.
