An all night pirith ceremony followed by a Sanghika daana was held.
The Principal of Royal International School A.M. Karunaratne said,
this is a multi-racial and multi-religious school. We respect all
religions alike. We should always try to purify our thoughts. We should
not try to escape problems, but face them with courage. Today moral
values are declining in the society.
Education must be not only intellectual, but moral, because a good
character is more important than even learning. The great practical
object of religion is moral conduct and character. We should teach our
children the value of leading lives according to their respective
religions.
