Government bans TRO
THE Government has proscribed the Tamil
Rehabilitation Organisation in Sri Lanka. The proscription was
ratified by the Cabinet. “Approval was granted to a Cabinet
memorandum presented by Foreign Affairs Minister Rohitha Bogollagama
for enforcing the ban,”

Inquiry into allegations against UNICEF
Leader of the House Minister Nimal Siripala de
Silva yesterday told Parliament that the Government has commenced a
full scale investigation whether the UNICEF through the TRO has
directly or indirectly given funds to the LTTE.
