Sri Lanka economic Summit 2007 on June 6
SUMMIT: The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC), in partnership with the
Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (BOI), is organising the Sri Lanka
Economic Summit for the second year in succession from June 6 to 8 at
the Cinnamon Grand Colombo.
This forum is the Chamber’s key initiative to identify and address
future economic and commercial trends and to develop appropriate
strategic plans to meet these challenges.
The primary objective of the Summit is to achieve a consensus and a
partnership amongst the Business Community, Civil Society and Public
Authorities, to fulfil the national aspiration for “A Better Sri Lanka
For All”, through rapid economic development.
It is the Chamber’s aim to position the Economic Summit as the
principal annual investor event of Sri Lanka. It is intended that this
event will afford the key stakeholders of the country’s economy,
including foreign investors, the opportunity to interact within a
structured programme.
The first day of the Summit will be devoted to review and discuss the
macro economy and fiscal policy, in the context of trade and investment,
infrastructure and competitiveness, in creating an environment for
increased private investment.
