Increasing sense of social responsibility needed on part of
journalists - Media Minister
They are not restricted to regular office hours
during the day as traditional journalists, but work round the clock
being vigilant through out the day. It is a pity that such mediamen are
not duly compensated or evaluated in service, Media and Information

North East crisis internal problem - JHU
The Jathika Hela Urumaya General Secretary Ven.
Omalpe Sobhitha Thera, expressed the JHU
displeasure over the recent statement made by American Ambassador in Sri
Lanka, Robert Blake to the Indo Asian News Service that the LTTE
separatist terrorism cannot be defeated by waging war and therefore the
Sri Lankan Government should even reluctantly go for a political
solution to end the North East problem in the country.
