Posts Minister pledges stable administration

COLOMBO: Posts and Telecommunication Minister and SLMC leader Ruaff Hakeem pledged his party's support to the Government to continue with a stable administration and to work towards achieving permanent peace.

The Minister said this at a function to felicitate former Posts and Telecommunication Minister D.M. Jayaratne.

Hakeem said he expects to continue with programmes of his predecessor to develop and uplift the postal and telecommunication sector.

He said Minister Jayaratne had performed a commendable service through his Ministry and he had no doubt that the Plantation Industry would benefit with his ability.

Plantation Industries Minister D.M. Jayaratne said the country could achieve all its development goals if there is unity among communities.
