Chamari 6/5 rips through Palink

CRICKET: Slimline all-rounder Chamari Polgampola ripped through Palink SC with a match bag of 6 for five to help win the opening match of the Women National League played at Moors SC to give her side a 10 wicket victory.

The National League Tournament 2006 took off for the Singer Trophy conducted by the Women's Cricket Association of Sri Lanka. Slimline who won the toss, put Palink in to bat first.

Palink SC 41 in 27 overs (Gayathi Liyanage 11, Sandamalie 7, Chamari Udugampola 6 for 5, E. Dinesha 2 for 13). Slimline SC 42 for no loss in 10.4 overs (Dedunu de Silva 19 not out, Chamari Polgampola 11 not out).
