SLMM warns air assets of LTTE could re-ignite war
EUROPEAN truce monitors in Sri Lanka have warned that
the "air assets" of the LTTE could re-ignite war on the island and
destabilise security in South Asia. The Norwegian-led Sri Lanka
Monitoring Mission said the LTTE possess an airstrip in the island's
north, but warned that any move by government forces to bomb it could
lead to the resumption of war.

Prime Minister tours Korea
THE Sri Lankan delegation led by Prime Minister
Mahinda Rajapakse visited the War Free Zone between the boundaries of
South Korea and North Korea on Thursday. The delegation were taken in a
motorcade with state honours and police security to the boundary line at
Pumnunjam between South Korea and North Korea, a release from the Prime
Minister's Office said.
