Computer donation from Martin Wickramasinghe Trust
THE Martin Wickramasinghe Trust will distribute 50 computer machines
donated by Ms. B.M.W. Manufacturing Company, U.K. to schools in the
Habaraduwa Education Circuit for the use of the school children.
The presentation will be made by Nishan de Silva and Neville
Richardson on behalf of the donors at a ceremony at the Martin
Wickramasinghe Folk Museum, Koggala on May 12 at 10.00 a.m.
A CD of Martin Wickramasinghe's book Kurumini Saththu and others of
educational value will also be donated and demonstration on computer
literacy will be held on behalf of school children.
Admission on forged documents: CID to question parents, guardians

THE Criminal Investigations Department (CID) probing admissions to
grade one on forged documents will question parents and guardians who
allegedly forwarded the forged documents to admit their children to
leading schools.
A special team had been deployed by the CID DIG to question the
parents and the guardians.
In connection with the investigations, the CID collected a number of
documents allegedly forged.
The CID will also obtain the Attorney General's assistance in
connection with the investigation into the forged documents. |
