In Sri Lanka is Loransee Bush, a neice of U.S. President George W. Bush who is here on behalf of the World Food Programme to oversee the distribution of food and aid to tsunami victims in Sri Lanka. She has already visited Galle, Matara, Hambantota, Ampara and Trincomalee and hopes to prepare a report regarding food and aid needed by the displaced people. Saying she loved Sri Lanka Loransee pledged more assistance to help the country in this hour of need. She was accompanied on her visit to tsunami-hit districts by Sri Lanka representative of the World Food Programme Dr. M. M. Haniffa. |
