by Nadira Gunatilleke Singapore Education Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam extended his fullest support to Women's Empowerment and Social Welfare Minister Sumedha G. Jayasena to re-build educational and industrial facilities of the tsunami hit areas in Sri Lanka, a Ministry spokesman said. He said, Mr. Shanmugaratnam requested short-term, mid-term and long term proposals to re-build education and industrial sector in the tsunami-hit areas when he paid a goodwill visit to the Women's Empowerment and Social Welfare Ministry recently. He promised to present the proposals to the Singapore Government and obtain maximum state patronage. |
