CB scheme for currency donations

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has introduced a system for the electronic remittance of donations by overseas donors for the disaster relief funds. Accordingly, all foreign remittances could be credited through credit card on the website www.centralbanklanka.org.

Direct Remittances (SWIFT and Telegraphic Transfers) can be forwarded to the accounts given below in respect of the following currencies:

(a) US$ A/c No. 0210-8075-3 with Federal Reserve Bank, New York, USA. A/c. Name: Central Bank of Sri Lanka - Disaster Relief Account - (SWIFT Code - FRNYUS33).

(b) "Euro A/c. No. 40828 with Deutsche Bundes Bank, Frankfurt, Germany (SWIFT Code: MARKDEFF).(c) "GBP A/c. 01510/600014/00 with Bank of Ceylon, London, UK (SWIFT Code: BCEYGB2L).

Other modes of payments (Cheques, Bank Drafts, Money Orders)

Those who wish to send their donations can forward Cheques or Bank Drafts, Money Orders by hand or by post, drawn in favour of "Central Bank of Sri Lanka on Account of Disaster Relief".
