Electronic voting to save Rs.220 million

Elections will cost at least Rs.220 million less with the deployment of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM), which will enable Sri Lankans to say 'yes' to their favourite political parties and personalities at the touch of a button.

World Bank aid for e-Sri Lanka

The World Bank (WB) has approved a US$ 53 million loan for the e- Sri Lanka development project. The agreement was signed by the World Bank Country Manager Peter Harrold and Secretary to the Treasury, Dr. P. B. Jayasundera.
