Nepal declares unilateral truce in Buddha's birthplace for meeting

KATHMANDU, Wednesday (AFP) Nepal announced a unilateral ceasefire with Maoist rebels in the area around Buddha's birthplace during a three-day Buddhist conference there starting at the end of the month.
