Budget for the people from the people's Government

The United People's Freedom Alliance Government yesterday unveiled a pro-people budget with a special emphasis on reducing the cost of living and rejuvenating the economy through developing local industry, fisheries and agriculture.

Bogollagama joins Government

Finance Minister Dr. Sarath Amunugama during the course of his budget speech amidst rounds of applause from the Government benches, said former UNP Minister Rohitha Bogollagama had joined the Government and that he had been sworn in by the President as Minister of Advanced Technology and National Enterprise Development.
