Special Committee on foreign aid By Manjula Fernando and Nadira Gunatilleke A special Cabinet sub-committee will be appointed to streamline the
utilisation of foreign aid, the Government announced yesterday. The
Cabinet Sub Committee will be under the Chairmanship of President
Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga, Minister Mangala Samaraweera said. Prices of goods will decrease next month - President from Asanga Warnakulasuriya in Kurunegala President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga said yesterday that though
the Government was unable to control the oil prices reaching record
limits, the prices of goods would come down in the next month. "We
have discussed the unexpected situation with our friendly nations and they
have agreed to help us by providing financial assistance," the
