Project to develop Beira Lake inaugurated today

A project to develop the Beira Lake and its environs as a picturesque recreational area for the public will be launched by the Ports and Aviation Ministry today to mark the President’s birthday. The project launched on the initiative of Ports, Aviation and Media Minister Mangala Samaraweera will be implemented jointly by the Sri Lanka Ports Authority and the Urban Development Authority. Minister Samaraweera and Urban Development and Water Supply Minister Dinesh Gunawardane will jointly inaugurate the project at 9.30 a.m. today..
