Following the flurry of wickets on the opening day, the second day of the second cricket Test was more calmer and assured as the Asgiriya pitch settled down to allow a decent game of cricket. By the end of play today, Australia shot out for 120 in the first innings had gained some sort of ascendancy over Sri Lanka by making 221 for two wickets to lead overall by 130 runs with eight wickets and three days remaining.
