Windies Juniors in convincing victory by Chris Dhambarage The touring West Indies under 19 team opened their tour of Sri Lanka with a convincing 43 run win over the Sri Lanka Cricket President's XI in a one day practice match played at Braybrooke Place yesterday. Even though none of them scored a half century they collected their runs at a steady pace scoring well over five runs per over. The President's XI were cruising along at one stage with former D. S. But with the departure of Gunwardena the innings completely lost their way with Lionel Baker, Barrington Earwood and Zamal Khan adding the finishing touches with the ball.
