Sumathipala remanded until January 30

Sri Lanka Telecom Chairman and President Sri Lanka Cricket Thilanga Sumathipala was yesterday remanded until January 30 by Colombo Additional Magistrate Vikum A. Kaluarachchi after lengthy submissions by Defence Counsel Kolitha Dharmawardena and Deputy Solicitor General Suhada Gamlath.

UNF trying to create anarchy by persuading LTTE to resume war

Head of the LTTE Peace Secretariat Pulidevan has visited Colombo and met several Foreign diplomats during the last few days. Diplomatic sources in Colombo said he had held discussions with several Western Embassies including the American Embassy and the UK High Commission.
