'Peace process can continue despite take-over of Ministries'

'In 1994 when I initiated the peace process I was the Prime Minister of this country. D.B. Wijetunga the President at that time held the defence portfolio. I as a person who knew the constitution and the law did not insist on the portfolio as the Prime Minister is doing right now. I informed the President of all developments in the sphere of the peace moves and President Wijetunga was happy with it.
