Millennium trophy golf on Jan 17 by P. Rajaratnam in Nuwara Eliya The Golf tournament 'For the Millennium Trophy" will be played on 17th January, 2004, at the Nuwara Eliya Golf course. A large number of golfers from different clubs in Sri Lanka will participate. This tournament is being organised by the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, under the co-sponsorship of the Qatar Airways, which will offer two Airline tickets for winners of the tournament to any destination of the Qatar Airways European destinations, in addition to other valuable prizes. In the recent past the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club has been patronised by many foreign teams, and those foreign Golfers who visit Sri Lanka, make it a point to come back and play golf in this 114 year old Asia's most celebrated golf links. Elaborate arrangements are being made by the Captain of the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, Sunil Jayakody and the Secretary Clive Tissera to make this Board Event a most rollicking. |
