President supreme in Lanka's defence - Supreme Court
The President is supreme relating to Sri Lanka's defence, the Supreme
Court states in its determination consequent to the opinion sought by the
President from the Supreme Court regarding the subject.
Ceasefire agreement will stand - Kadirgamar

President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga has clearly stated that
the ceasefire agreement will stand and the President has no intention
whatsoever of resuming or provoking the resumption of hostilities,
Presidential Advisor and former Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar told
a media briefing yesterday.
