Air Force War Heroes memorial day

A series of events have been organised by the Sri Lanka Air Force to mark the annual Air Force War Heroes Memorial Day which falls on July 2 and 3.

An all night pirith chanting ceremony will be held at the Ratmalana Air Force Base tonight with the participation of Air Force commander and all the relatives of the fallen heroes of the Air Force.

Floral tributes to the fallen war heroes of the Air Force will be placed at the Air Force War Heroes Monument in Attidiya on July 3 at 8.30 am.

An alms giving for 100 Bhikkus will be held at the Ratmalana Air Force Base to mark the event on July 3 with the participation of relatives and the next of kin of the fallen war heroes. All senior Air Force officials will take part in this annual event.
