Principles of good governance

To function properly, a just and democratic society must have a free exchange of information and ideas. This is best realised in the creation of a free and open press and the freedoms of speech and expression, which form part of the MCA's eligibility criteria of political rights and civil liberties. A free press provides voters with the information they need to make informed decisions
