Selectors look at Mahela as long-term captain

Sri Lanka cricket selectors were looking at Mahela Jayawardene as a long term prospect for the Sri Lanka captaincy when they named him vice-captain of the one-day team for the Bank Alfalah Cup one-day triangular starting at Dambulla International Stadium on Saturday.
