Pakistan has decided to abstain from any UN vote that will allow
military action against Iraq, a senior ruling party official told AFP late
Monday."The government has decided that the best course for avoiding
any serious public backlash is to abstain from voting on any new
resolution that will allow military action against Iraq," said the
Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) official on condition of anonymity.
